Following the Path of Bodhichitta
Post-Festival Teaching and Meditations
Saturdays August 12, 19, & 26, 2-4pm
Whereas all other virtues are like plantain trees
In that they are exhausted once they bear fruit,
The enduring celestial tree of bodhichitta
Is not exhausted but increases by bearing fruit.
– Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life
In How to Transform Your Life, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso tells us “If we sincerely stop wishing for ourself to be happy all of the time and instead wish for others to be happy…we will come to experience no problems or unhappiness at all. This practice prevents attachment to the fulfillment of our own wishes.”
These three successive Saturday classes will recap the teachings from the NKT
International Summer Dharma Festival at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Ulverston, England.
Resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Dema, will transmit the essence of the teachings and lead guided meditations that will help us begin the journey to spiritual bliss.
Everyone is welcome to attend one or all of these classes. No previous experience is necessary, and those with experience will enrich and focus their spiritual practice.
